A complete online home for a Scarborough fishing family: a clothing shop, lobster and crab collection orders, live boat tracking, and a full admin system they run from the website and Discord.
Pots of Plenty is a fishing family working out of Scarborough Harbour. They sell lobster and crab landed that morning, alongside their own range of coastal clothing. They needed one place to do all of it: sell hoodies and hats across the UK, take seafood orders for collection at the harbour, and tell the story behind the boat.
Two very different businesses under one name. The clothing ships nationwide and is paid for online. The seafood is collection-only, depends on the day's catch, and needs someone to say yes before a customer turns up at the harbour.
On top of that, the crew spend their days at sea, so running the business had to work from a phone, quickly, without logging into five different systems.
We designed and built the whole thing from scratch, without an off-the-shelf shop builder.
The shop takes card payments through Stripe, with gift cards, discount codes, photo reviews, customer accounts and order tracking. Lobster and crab orders come in as collection requests that the team can accept, decline or offer another time for, and the customer is emailed automatically at each step.
Behind it sits a full admin panel (orders, products, customers, promotions, messages, reviews, team roles and visitor stats) and a custom Discord bot that posts every order and message to the team with buttons to act on them, plus a daily summary of sales and visitors. A live vessel tracker shows where the boat is right now and replays the week's trips.
The family can run the whole operation from their phones: clothing orders, harbour collections, customer emails and the shop itself, mostly without opening the website at all. New products, prices and promotions go live without anyone touching code, and they're told the moment something needs attention.
